First Impressions: Simple Micellar Water

Hey Guys!

It is time for another first impressions post and this month it is the turn of a new micellar water. Over the last couple of years, I have tried several different micellar waters and given each one a first impressions post, so it only seemed right that I give this one a post as well. this time the micellar water is by Simple. let’s do this!

I hate this micellar water. I really do. I was fully expecting to love it. for it to be my new go too, but no, I hate it. I just really don’t like it. it is an oil based micellar (which I’m not a massive fan of in general) and it doesn’t really do anything. It is really hard to combine the oil and water; you have to shake it really vigorously for a good few minutes to actually get it to combine. And because the oil is completely colourless it is really difficult to see if it has all combined. And then once you have to it combined, it separates again really quickly. So if you need a second cotton pad, you have to shake it all over again! It takes like 15 minutes just to take off your makeup!

I also don’t think that it works all that well. not compared to Garnier one I always go back to. It just seems to take a lot longer and a lot more work to take off my makeup. With my normal micellar water, it is just a few swipes and it is done. The Simple one takes a lot more than that. I found I was really rubbing at my eyes whenever I used it, just to try and lift off my makeup. It also seemed to make my skin break out. I used it every day for a week and then had to stop because it was cause a major breakout!

All in all, not a very good product. I think that it could work for some people, for instance if you only wear very minimal makeup, like foundation and mascara, then it would probably be okay for you, but anything else and it just doesn’t work very well. it is safe to say that I won’t be purchasing this one again! I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.
