July Favourites

Hey Guys!

Another month has been and gone and so that means that it is time for another monthly favourites post. I honestly cannot believe that we are into August already. i will openly admit that July wasn’t the best month for me. I had a very anxious month, I was stressed and unhappy and hardly sleeping, so basically I didn’t really do anything except work and read. But I am still going to do a favourites post and talk about a few things that I did manage to enjoy in July.

Favourite Book

I read a lot of books in July, most of which I really enjoyed but the ones that I loved the most where Love And Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Both are incredible and I loved every second of both of them. Absolutely brilliant, both are well worth a read!

Favourite Activity

I have still been loving listening to audiobooks recently. I have spent a lot of the last month sitting in my room, with my headphones in, listening to an audiobook. I have just found that it has been the perfect way to overcome my anxiety. I have listened to around 7 audiobooks again this month, including a couple that I listened to in one sitting. It has just been the perfect escape for me recently.

Favourite Cosmetic Product

I have finally fallen in love with a mascara! If you saw my most recent first impressions post this won’t surprise you at all, but I have been loving the Benefit, Bad Girl Bang Mascara. This mascara is incredible! I haven’t worn anything else since I brought it I just love it so much. if you haven’t tried it yet you need to!

Favourite Band

In July I started to really get into the Kaiser Chiefs. This is a band that has a lot of songs that everyone knows ‘Ruby, Oh My God, I predict A Riot etc etc) but I have never actually explored them before, until recently that is. I have started working my way through their back catalogue and I actually really like them.

Favourite App

I have recently discovered Scribd and I am in love. Scribd is an audiobook service that offers unlimited access to their library for a small monthly fee. A bit like audible but not limited to a single book. I have been using this app so much over the last few weeks, I am obsessed with it! it has been brilliant for fuelling my audiobook addiction!

And that is it. that is everything that I loved in July. What about you? What did you enjoy in the month of July? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.

  1. Sorry to hear July was a bummer, your July sounds like my June. Hoping things look up soon. My teen niece read Love & Gelato this summer, I’ll have to ask her opinion, did you review that one? I love the Hunger Games of course, but never got around to Mockingjay, must do that this year. I started an audiobook challenge earlier this year, hosted by the Caffeinated Reviewer, it can be found in my Reading Challenges page in my site menu, you should check it out. I’m an audio fan too, get so much more reading done that way. I shall have to check out this Scrib’d service…

    1. Thankfully August is already feeling like a better month 🙂.
I did review Love And Gelato, it went up on July 15th I believe. I did the same with Hunger Games, read the first 2 but not the last book. Fianlly read it now and it is a really good conclusion to the trilogy.
Ohhh, I like the sound of an audiobook challenge, I’ll definitely check it out!
