We are officially a full month into 2018! How is that possible! I cannot believe that it has been a month already, but, since it apparently has, it means that it is time for my first monthly favourites post of 2018. Let’s do this.
SHOCK HORROR! I actually went to the cinema this month! Yep, I’m as surprised as you are lol. The film that I went to see was The Greatest Showman and it was incredible. I am not normally a musical fan, in fact for the most part I usually try to avoid them, but oh my god, this was so good. The music was incredible, the story was brilliant, the imagery was stunning. It was just a really amazing film that you need to watch!
I have been in a bit of a reading slump this month. Well, not really a slump, but I have been loving reading. I think the fact that there are so many incredible books on my TBR right now that I really want to get to but can’t physically read all at once has just kind of bummed me out a bit. But, that being said, all the books that I did read this month where 4 or 5 star reads. Three that I particularly loved where The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater, Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. All three of these where brilliant reads and I really enjoyed them.
Favourite TV Show
THEY HAVE FINALLY ADDED FRIENDS TO NETFLIX! I am so happy. I love Friends. I watched it all the time growing it up, I must have seen every episode at least 3 times (got to love E4 and their endless repeats) but then it got taken off the air and I had no way of watching it anymore. But they have finally added it to English Netflix and I may have watched all 10 season in 2 weeks……I have a problem lol. I was reminded just how good it is and how much I love it.
I finally decided that it was time to change my Instagram profile picture from a selfie to something book related since my account has become a bookstagram over the last 6 months. So I put it to a vote between two pictures, you guys chose which one you liked best so I went with that. although it was a very old low quality picture so I retook it and I love it even more now and I am so happy with how it looks.
I brought an armchair. Yep, that is as random as it sounds lol. I spend 90% of my home time in my bedroom, usually reading, but as I have a small room and got rid of my desk and computer chair about 3 years ago, I only had my bed to sit on. which is okay but it means that when reading for a long time my back would end up hurting and it just wasn’t that comfortable. So I finally brought myself a little armchair for my room. I got myself a tub arm chair from IKEA (in dark grey) and I freaking love it. I have not stopped sitting in it since I brought it. best £90 I have ever spent.
And that is about it for this month. January has been a bit of a flat month for me. I have been working a lot, been making some big decisions about my future (job wise) and I just generally haven’t been feeling quiet myself. Hopefully I will start to feel more like me in February. What has your January been like? what have been your favourite things? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.
