OMG, IT’S BASICALLY AUTUMN! I am so excited. If you have followed me for a while now you will know that autumn is my favourite time of the year and so the fact that we are now into September makes me super excited! Anyway, this means that another month has been and gone so it is time for another monthly favourites post. So without further ado, here are my august favourites.
I am honestly having such an amazing reading year in 2017 and august has been no exception. Out of the 10 books that I read this month there are 4 that really stood out to me this month. These books where Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, The Son Of Neptune/Mark Of Athena by Rick Riordan, By Your Side by Kasie West, and my overall favourite A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J Maas. All of these books where amazing and fecking loved them all.
Favourite TV Show
And this month, so for the first time in ages I have a favourite TV show. I haven’t really watched that much TV recently but this month I finally started watching a new show. And that show is Thirteen Reasons Why. I have wanted to watch this show ever since I first heard about it but I decided to wait until after I had read the book. I have finally read the book so I finally started watching it and I really like it. I wasn’t sure how it would work as a show since the book is set over one day, but I really like the way that they have done it. I am about half way through the series and really liking it.
Favourite Nail Varnish
I haven’t really been wearing much nail varnish recently. Over the past month I have broken all but like 1 nail so they are really short at the moment. When they are like this I just CBA to paint them. but, the couple of times that I did paint them I tended to go for the Nails Inc varnish in the shade Edward Place. I got this free a while ago and I quiet like it. it is a very neutral colour. Easy to wear.
If you guys don’t know, a few months ago I got a second job as a pet sitter and dog walker and this month I have been doing quite a few walks (I usually mainly do the sitting side of it) and I have been really enjoying it. I am loving the fresh air and getting to interact with the dogs and I am just loving it a lot.
My favourite purchase this month is actually the same as last month. Last month I brought myself some A Darker Shade Of Magic cut-out silhouettes from BookOfShadowStudio on Etsy. Last month I brought Kell and Lila, and this month I ordered Rhy and Alucard, and also a Infernal Devices themed Clockwork Angel. They are all around £3 each and I love them. And the MaCherie (the girl who makes these beautiful cut-outs) very kindly sent me a Holland one as well. Which was just so damn sweet and was such a sweet surprise. You should 100% check out her shop. Everything she makes is stunning and I love them. plus, she is just so nice. I am planning to buy some more now that I have been paid.
And that’s about it. this month has been a bit boring to be honest. But oh well. What did you love in August? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again soon.
